Independence Day

Well hello from Matthews, NC. We’ve successfully relocated our home and await the relaunch of our Roastery operation, which will be located in a building on our property. Yesterday, we celebrated our first major holiday away from Chicago. Like most, we started our day with fresh coffee. My inlaws who now live just 10 minutes away, visited for breakfast. Having immigrated from Venezuela almost a decade ago to join their daughters in the US, they know and appreciate good coffee, and a lot of it! Celebrating our country is special for them as it has given them so much to be thankful for. After breakfast, we reconveined again at 5pm with the rest of the family at our home for a BBQ….and of course more coffee!
